Yes—a PDF scan may be provided, but it is not the original apostille
When Lake Mead Mobile Notary coordinates your completed Nevada apostille packet, you may request a PDF scan before the paper originals are returned. The scan is useful for records and preliminary review, but the receiving authority decides whether it will accept a digital copy instead of the original packet.
What the digital copy represents
Reference scan
A PDF can show the completed document and attached apostille as they appeared when scanned. It may help with recordkeeping or advance review.
Original paper packet
The physical document packet remains the issued original. A scan does not reproduce the original attachment, paper, seal, or other physical features.
Recipient acceptance
A school, court, consulate, employer, or other recipient may review a PDF but still require the intact original for final submission.
A scan is not an e-Apostille
Nevada currently provides an online e-Register that can be used to verify issued apostilles. That verification record does not create a replacement document or turn a scanned paper packet into an electronically issued apostille.
