Who qualifies to use the VP-159 Farmer/Rancher Affidavit and what vehicles are eligible?

Eligibility hinges on two parts: you and the vehicle. The affiant must qualify as a farmer or rancher—generally deriving at least two-thirds of prior-year gross income from cultivating the soil or raising agricultural commodities. The vehicle must meet Nevada’s farm-vehicle definition (controlled/operated by the farmer or rancher, used to transport their own livestock/ag products/equipment, and not used as a common or contract carrier).
