VP-188 is the Trustee Appointment and Powers Affidavit. It’s used when a trustee needs to declare authority to sign DMV paperwork so a vehicle can be titled or registered to a family trust. Common uses include retitling an existing vehicle into the trust and registering a dealer or private-party purchase directly to the trust.
